Usos del Tiempo
The presente perfecto is used to:
- Express actions that happened in the recent past
- Describe experiences without specifying when
- Talk about actions that continue to the present
- Express actions with consequences in the present
Ejemplos
Recent past:
- He comido hace una hora - I ate an hour ago
- Hoy ha llovido - It has rained today
- Esta semana hemos trabajado mucho - This week we have worked a lot
Experiences:
- He viajado a España - I have traveled to Spain
- Nunca he visto esa película - I have never seen that movie
- ¿Has estado en París? - Have you been to Paris?
Actions continuing to present:
- Siempre he vivido aquí - I have always lived here
- He estudiado español durante años - I have studied Spanish for years
Consequences in present:
- He perdido mis llaves - I have lost my keys (they’re still lost)
- No ha llegado todavía - He hasn’t arrived yet
- Han terminado el proyecto - They have finished the project
Conjugación
Structure: Haber (present) + Past Participle
Haber:
- Yo he
- Tú has
- Él/Ella/Usted ha
- Nosotros/as hemos
- Vosotros/as habéis

Past Participle Formation:
- -AR verbs: -ado (hablado, cantado, estudiado)
- -ER verbs: -ido (comido, bebido, tenido)
- -IR verbs: -ido (vivido, salido, dormido)
